Hollywood's Beloved Bombshells Are Taking Over, As getTV Goes Blonde With Themed Blocks Honoring Golden Age Classic Beauties Marilyn Monroe, Kim Novak, Lana Turner And More, All Month Long

CULVER CITY, Calif., May 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- getTV honors classic Hollywood's hottest blondes this month, starting on Sunday, June 1—Marilyn Monroe's birthday—with LADIES OF THE CHORUS, one of Monroe's first starring roles, at 7:15 a.m. ET. The month-long event features a bevy of beauties such as Goldie Hawn in CACTUS FLOWER (Sunday, June 1); Janet Leigh in WHO WAS THAT LADY? (Friday, June 6) and Lana Turner in LOVE HAS MANY FACES (Tuesday, June 17). Additionally, Thursday evenings in June are dedicated to the bewitching blonde Kim Novak in classic films such as PICNIC (June 5); PAL JOEY, with Frank Sinatra (June 19) and BELL, BOOK, AND CANDLE (June 26).

getTV continues its nod to cinematic icons on Fridays when the network presents a 14-film lineup that includes Dean Martin as secret agent Matt Helm in THE SILENCERS and THE WRECKING CREW on June 6; funnyman Robert Cummings in THE FIRST TIME, on June 13; Oscar® winner Judy Holliday in PHFFFT!, with Jack Lemmon, on June 20; and Ralph Bellamy in the psychological drama BLIND ALLEY, on June 27.

Ride off into the sunset with Audie Murphy, as getTV puts the spotlight on the war hero and Western star with a quadruple feature on Saturday, June 21, at 7 p.m. ET.  The day begins with Murphy as a repentant avenger in THE QUICK GUN, followed by THE TEXICAN; ARIZONA RAIDERS; and 40 GUNS TO APACHE PASS, one of Murphy's last films before his death in 1971.
