Operating System Downgrade to Windows® XP Professional

In order to provide a high level of support to our customers, for a limited time Sony is making Windows® XP Professional downgrade media available to customers to enable them to downgrade the operating systems on their VAIO® PCs from Windows Vista® Business to Windows® XP Professional. This downgrade media is available for the eligible models below, and there are two ways to receive it, which are:

1. VAIO® SZ700 and VAIO® TZ200 series notebooks ship with the Windows® XP Professional downgrade media in-box.
   
   
2. For VAIO® SZ600 and VAIO TZ100 series notebooks, customers can register to receive the Windows® XP Professional downgrade media by mail.
   
   Businesses that purchased multiple units of the same model need only one set of DVDs to downgrade all models. For example, one set of DVDs can downgrade all 10 of your VGN-SZ691N/X models.
   
   
3. Some VAIO SR Series, BZ Series and Z series models shipped without the Windows® XP Professional downgrade media. If you purchased one of these models and did not receive the downgrade media, you may order the downgrade media by mail. Follow the link below to order.

Before downgrading, it is highly recommended that you create a recovery DVD to restore Windows Vista® Business at a later date.
