We introduced Digital Paper at the "Digital Business School," which began in the summer of 2017. "Digital Business School" is a training course that fosters business leadership skills through a total of 12 training sessions for approximately three months. The total amount of training materials used during the period was about 70 files.

All these were converted to PDF and distributed to the participants via Digital Paper. Typically the coursework required the instructor to bring extensive amounts of paper to support the students within the sessions, but this was solved with Digital Paper.  Digital Paper made the operation and workflow simple while simultaneously saving time, and participants used it easily to read and annotate the coursework.

Sony Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd

We introduced digital paper in the inspector qualification test in the semiconductor manufacturing line, which resulted in workflow efficiencies and reduction in paper usage. When exploring options, the digital paper was our top choice as a solution in considering battery life, portability, security, and criteria met for clean room compatibility requirements within our manufacturing areas.

Before using the digital paper, carefully handled clean paper and laminate were used, and it was necessary to perform analog ancillary operations such as printing, result scanning and filing. We were able to reduce incidental work to 1/10 by introducing Digital Paper into our facility and workflow.

With easy reading and writing, good portability, large screen size, long battery life, Digital Paper makes things stress free. We also expanded the use of Digital Paper to other production sites that have similar manufacturing operations, and some departments use it to perform equipment and product inventory checks.

J building inspection center (JAIC)

We introduced digital paper into investigation work such as building standard law compliance which is buildings targeted for evaluation such as real estate property, deterioration diagnosis of buildings, construction approval inspections, etc.

The use of Digital Paper has resulted in significant improvements in work efficiency and safety in the field with its light weight design, large screen size, long battery life, and ease of writing.

In addition, since the materials reviewed during inspections are PDF data, there is no need to re-enter the data, and the post-inspection office work has been streamlined.

In the future, we plan to consider further consider how we can implement Digital Paper for further workflow improvements.
