Enjoy music as the artist intended with High-Resolution Audio

Take your digital music collection to another level with High-Resolution Audio. By capturing music at a higher rate than CD (up to 384 kHz/32-bit, rather than 44.1 kHz/16-bit), High-Resolution Audio allows you to get closer to the original studio recording and enjoy your music just as the artist intended.

Consistent sound with integrated USB DAC

With a built-in, dedicated USB DAC amp, these headphones take over control of the digital-to-analog conversion process from your device, then amplify sound using an integrated amplifier. The signal stays digital longer and is only converted into analog when it reaches the drivers, for unmatched clarity and accuracy. By linking up digitally, each piece of music sound consistent, whichever device is the source.

Multi-connections for versatile listening

Be well connected. Listen to music from your PC, Xperia Smartphone, Walkman, or iPhone using one of the supplied digital connecting cables. Or connect to other players using a standard 1/8 in stereo audio cable. Auto Select switches seamlessly between inputs for effortless connections.

Dynamic HD drivers deliver authentic sound

Powerful 1.57 in HD drivers with large vents allow the headphones to deliver punchy, rhythmic bass on even the most demanding track. Turn up the volume and hear clear, precise sound across the spectrum.

Wide frequency response for a full range of sound

The wide frequency range—spanning 3 Hz to 100 kHz—is designed for today’s broad variety of music styles. The 3 Hz low end of the frequency range offers more than enough latitude for even the deepest sub-bass notes. At the 100 kHz high end, enjoy vocal melodies and subtle audio harmonics and tonality, giving your music more life and realism.

High sensitivity for a loud, clear performance

With high sensitivity of 102 dB/mW, these headphones are highly efficient in converting electricity into acoustic signals. This means you hear a louder sound across the entire audio spectrum (compared to less sensitive headphones) when listening to music through the same source and at the same volume level.

Aluminum-coated LCP diaphragm for more precision

An aluminum-coated, liquid crystal polymer diaphragm produces more consistent sound across the entire frequency range compared with conventional drivers. Sound energy lost during transmission to the headphone housing is more uniform, ensuring an authentic performance. Also enjoy a flatter frequency response, even when listening to the ultrahigh frequencies in High-Resolution Audio.

Bass-enhancing vents for punchy beats

Precisely sculpted vents maximize the airflow in the headphone, allowing the LCP diaphragm to breathe more easily and deliver an instant response to powerful low-end bass lines.

S-Master HX digital amplifier for refined audio

Pure, unfiltered sound. By using a simplified signal path and full digital processing, S-Master HX technology amplifies sound signals digitally without first converting them to analog. This means signals maintain their purity right up to the final speaker output, so you can enjoy a more realistic and balanced sound experience.

Full support for DSD and PCM encoding

With support for both DSD128 (Direct Stream Digital) and 24 bit/192 kHz PCM (Pulse Code Modulation), enjoy a much truer representation of the original sound across all frequencies. DSD128 captures and reproduces sound at ultrahigh frequencies up to 128 times that of CD using a 1-bit stream for natural sound with wide dynamic range. 24 bit/192 kHz PCM samples at over four times the bitrate of CD, with each sample more accurately represented by 24 bits.

Enfolding closed-back design seals in sound

The closed-back, enfolding design wraps around the ear, sealing in music and keeping out distractions. Acoustics are reflected back toward your ears, so you hear even the subtlest sounds. You also feel every beat, as the closed-back design maximizes the bass signatures in your music.
