If you are using a Walkman player with a built-in FM tuner, you may not be able to hear the FM broadcast or the reception may be lowered substantially due to the following:
- When an audio output device, such as a speaker, is connected to the cradle, the headphone jack becomes disabled. Since the headphone cord works as an FM antenna, when connecting through the headphone jack, no sound is output.
- In order to receive FM broadcasts, the headphone cord would need to be connected to the Walkman player. Depending on your unit, the headphones may not be able to be connected while the Walkman player is connected to the cradle.
