An error message appears when trying to do a software update.

The message Connection status cannot be confirmed. Cannot communicate with server. Please try again later will appear when a software update is not available for the Blu-ray Disc® player.

Follow the steps below to ensure that the Blu-ray Disc player has been set up to receive an update once it becomes available:

  1. Ensure that the Blu-ray Disc player is connected to an active Internet connection.

    NOTE: The Internet service provider should be contacted for assistance with the set up or activation of an Internet connection.

  2. Set the Software Update Notification feature of the Blu-ray Disc player to On.
    1. On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
    2. Press the left arrow or right arrow to select System Settings.
    3. Press the Image (Select) button.
    4. Press the up arrow or down arrow to select Software Update Notification.
    5. Press the Image (Select) button.
    6. Press the up arrow or down arrow to select On.
    7. Press the Image (Select) button.
    8. Press the HOME button.
