This error code can occur if any of the Date and Time Properties are incorrectly set on the computer. The steps to correct this are different depending on your operating system:

Windows® XP operating system:

  1. In the lower-right corner of your screen, on the taskbar, double-click the time.
  2. In the Date and Time Properties window, confirm that both the date and time are correct.
  3. If you are connected to the Internet, click the Internet Time tab and then click Update Now to synchronize your date and time settings with the Web site time.windows.com
  4. Click the Time Zone tab and make sure the time zone is set correctly.
  5. Click Ok.
  6. Close the Reader Library software.
  7. Reopen the Reader Library software.

Windows Vista® and Windows® 7 operating systems:

  1. In the lower-right corner of your screen, on the taskbar, click the time.
  2. Click Change date and time settings.
  3. In the Date and Time window, confirm that both the date and time are correct. Click the Change date and time... button to make any changes.
  4. Confirm that the time zone is set correctly. Click the Change time zone button to make any changes.
  5. If you are connected to the Internet, click the Internet Time tab, then click the Change settings button, then click the Update Now button to synchronize your date and time settings with the Web site time.windows.com .
  6. Click OK to save your changes.
  7. Close the Reader Library software.
  8. Reopen the Reader Library software.

Apple® Mac OS® operating system:

  1. In the upper-right corner of your screen, click the time and then click Open Date & Time from the menu.
  2. In the Date & Time window, make sure the date and time is set correctly.
  3. Click the Time Zone tab.
  4. On the Time Zone tab, make sure time zone is set correctly.
  5. Close the window to save your changes.
  6. Close the Reader Library software.
  7. Reopen the Reader Library software.
