If you get the message Waiting for Signal Input, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue.

  1. Ensure that all of the connections are secure and properly connected.

    NOTE: When using an audio/video cable, make sure it is properly connected to A/V Line Out of the video device. If no input signal is detected, turn on the video device, and configure or operate it to start playback.

  2. Ensure the proper input type is selected.
  3. Verify that the source is from a supported device such as a camera, camcorder or video device.

    NOTE: The recorder cannot record copyrighted movies or TV programs. Recording copyrighted movies is not supported.

  4. If no signal is detected, disconnect all cables. Turn the DVDirect and video device off, then on again. Reconnect the video device to DVDirect recorder and try again.
