It is not a normal for the USB MODE message to appear when the camera is not connected to a computer. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue.
NOTE: Because each of these steps represents a possible solution to this issue, check if the USB MODE message disappears after completing each step.
- Disconnect any cables that may be attached to the camera.
- Turn the camera power off and on.
- Make sure no foreign material is inserted inside the USB jack (or multi-terminal jack) of the camera.
- Connect the camera to the computer and then properly disconnect it from the computer .
The troubleshooting steps listed above should resolve your issue. If you have completed all of the steps and the issue is not resolved, service may be required.
