IMPORTANT: HDMI PASS THRU will only work on HDMI Output A on all receivers that have both A and B outputs.

This occurs if the both the HDMI CTRL and PASS THRU settings in the receiver menu are not turned on. Follow the steps below to turn on both of these settings.

  1. On the remote control for the stereo receiver, press the AMP MENU button.
  2. Press the down arrow button to select HDMI.
  3. Press the ENTER button.
  4. Press the down arrow button to select CTRL: HDMI.
  5. Press the ENTER button.
  6. Press the up arrow or down arrow button to select ON.
  7. Press the ENTER button.
  8. Press the RETURN/EXIT button.
  9. Press the down arrow or up arrow button to select PASS THRU.
  10. Press the ENTER button.
  11. Press the up arrow or down arrow button to select ON.
  12. Press the ENTER button.
  13. Press the RETURN/EXIT button.

If the steps above did not resolve the problem, reset the receiver and follow the steps to turn on HDMI CTRL and PASS THRU again.

NOTE: By default, the HDMI PASS THRU is set to OFF after resetting the receiver.

The audio and video can now pass through the receiver to the TV, even after turning off the receiver.
