This may occur if the display switch of the camcorder is not functioning properly. Turn off the camcorder then remove the battery and/or the AC adapter. After waiting at least one minute, reconnect the battery or AC adapter and turn on the camcorder. Check that the image is displaying properly.
If the issue is still unresolved, service may be required.
