A video or movie file is not showing up or cannot be found on the tablet.

If a video or movie file cannot be found, you may need to update the Video Player database. A file might not be found if the tablet has been reset, updated or if new video or movie files have recently been transferred onto the tablet.

  1. On the desktop, tap the Home icon. Image
  2. In the upper-right corner of the desktop home screen, tap the Apps & Widgets icon. Image
  3. In the Apps & Widgets screen, tap the Video Player icon. Image
  4. In the Video Player screen, in the upper-right corner of the screen, tap the Menu icon, and then tap Settings. Image
  5. In the Video Player Settings screen, tap Update database. Image

The tablet storage will be scanned and all video and movie files present should now be available to be played.
