It is not possible to accidentally or unintentionally connect a Wi-Fi® camera to a smartphone with PlayMemories Mobile™ app. The Camera ID and Password first need to be entered in the app before a connection between the smartphone and camera can be established.
NOTE: Not all cameras have Wi-Fi capability and therefore cannot be used with PlayMemories Mobile app. To see if your camera has Wi-Fi capability, check the specifications of your camera. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
