Which types of files can be edited using Sound Organizer?

Depending upon the type of editing you will perform, you can edit the following types of files using Sound Organizer:

For creating track marks:

  • WAV format (extension: .wav)
  • MP3 format (extension: .mp3)
  • LPEC format (extension: dvf, .msv)
  • AAC format (extension: .3gp, .mp4, .m4a)
  • WMA format (extension: .wma)

NOTE: LPEC format files have to be converted to WAV or MP3 format before creating track marks.

For dividing a file:

  • WAV format (extension: .wav)
  • MP3 format (extension: .mp3)
  • LPEC format (extension: dvf, .msv)
  • AAC format (extension: .3gp, .mp4, .m4a)
  • WMA format (extension: .wma)

For combining files:

  • WAV format (extension: .wav)
  • MP3 format (extension: .mp3)
  • LPEC format (extension: dvf, .msv)
  • AAC format (extension: .3gp, .mp4, .m4a)
  • WMA format (extension: .wma)

NOTES:

  • AAC and WMA format files have to be converted to WAV or MP3 format before any editing can be done on them using Sound Organizer.
  • Files not recorded using an IC Recorder may not be able to be divided or combined.
  • Podcasts cannot be edited using Sound Organizer.
