Blinking or flashing when using the  histogram view indicates that one or more parts of the displayed image might be overexposed or underexposed. This is merely an indication to help you determine if exposure compensation or lighting changes are needed to achieve the desired shot.

  • Overexposed means that the image is generally too bright and looses important details in very bright areas.
  • Underexposed means that the image is generally too dark and looses important details in very dark areas.
