If the boombox cannot read the songs stored on a USB device, check the following:

  • Make sure that the music file stored in the USB device is in a compatible format.

IMPORTANT: To see the list of compatible formats, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the product. Manuals are posted on your model support page.

  • If your USB device supports multi-partitions, the music files must be on the first partition in order for the boombox to recognize and play back the music files.
  • Make sure that the files are not encrypted or protected with passwords.
  • Make sure that the USB storage device is using the FAT16 or FAT32 file systems.

NOTE: This unit supports FAT16 and FAT32, but some USB storage media may not support these file systems.
