Dirt build up on the mouse rollers will cause the trackball to work improperly. Cleaning the ball and mouse rollers with the following procedure will resolve the issue.
- Remove the collar on the bottom of the mouse that locks the ball in the mouse.
- Remove the ball from the socket.
- Clean the ball and mouse rollers with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab.
- Place the ball in the mouse, insert the collar and return the collar to its locked position.
