Error: Lens cover closed.

The error lens cover closed will appear if the camera is turned on and the lens cover is closed or not fully open. Follow these steps to troubleshoot this issue.

  1. Completely close the lens cover.
  2. Verify that the camera is turned off.
  3. Open the lens cover by sliding it down until a click is heard.

    NOTE: The camera should automatically turn on. If the error message is displayed, continue to the next steps.

  4. Close the lens cover.
  5. Verify that the camera is turned off.
  6. Remove the battery from the camera for 15 seconds.
  7. Reinsert the battery.
  8. Open the lens cover by sliding it down until a click is heard.

The troubleshooting steps listed above should resolve your issue. If you have completed all of the steps and the issue is not resolved, service may be required.
