Follow these steps to troubleshoot this issue.

  1. Make sure auto programming was not interrupted by canceling the operation or turning the TV off during the process.
  2. Make sure the antenna and cable inputs properly connected. The line from the terrestrial antenna (for over the air reception) should be connected to the VHF/UHF connection on the back of the TV and the cable line should be connected to the CABLE input.
  3. The type of antenna and direction is crucial for the reception of over the air channels. Make sure the antenna type and positioning is adequate for the geographic region. Information on antenna types can be found at
  4. If the antenna is rotatable, first run the auto program with the antenna in one direction. Rotate the antenna to the new position. From the Channel menu, select Digital Channel Add function to program the additional channels.
