How to determine the change in focal length when attaching a conversion lens to a digital camera.

Applicable Products and Categories of This Article

To determine the change in focal length when attaching a conversion lens to a digital camera, multiply the focal length of the original lens by the conversion lens factor. For example, if the focal length of the original lens is 41mm and the conversion lens factor is 0.6, multiply these numbers to arrive at a new 24.6mm focal length.

NOTE: This measurement is a 35mm equivalent, which means the focal length is relative to a 35mm camera.
