How to capture video or still images from a Digital Video camera being used as an analog-to-digital converter with the PIXELA ImageMixer 1.5 software.

Follow this procedure to capture video or still images from a Digital Video camera being used as an analog-to-digital converter with the PIXELA ImageMixer™ 1.5 software.

  1. Remove the tape from the digital video camera.
  2. Connect the digital video camera to the i.LINK® port on the computer.
  3. Connect the analog playback device (such as a VCR) to the Audio/Video or A/V inputs on the digital video camera.
  4. Turn on the digital video camera to the VCR mode.
  5. On the computer, start the PIXELA ImageMixer 1.5 software.
  6. On the ImageMixer screen, click the Capture Environment icon.

  7. Click the DV Camcorder Capture icon.

  8. Click the Preferences icon.

  9. In the Capturing/Recording Preferences window, in the DVC capture settings box, click to select Capture using DV Cam.
  10. Click the OK button.
  11. Start playing the source video from the analog playback device connected to the digital video camera.

    NOTE: The video can be seen in the capture window on the ImageMixer screen.

  12. To enable the PIXELA ImageMixer 1.5 software to capture still images, click the Still Image Capturing icon.

  13. To enable the PIXELA ImageMixer 1.5 software to capture video, click the Movie Scene Capturing icon.

  14. To capture the still image or video, click the Begin/Stop button.
