The error message No Removable Drive, No Memory Stick Found, or Removable disc is not ready. may appear when transferring pictures from the camera to the computer because of a conflict with the USB driver or software of another device. If third-party USB drivers or software were installed after the installation of the USB camera driver, it is possible that some of the files required for the camera were overwritten. Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

IMPORTANT: This issue is known to happen using the Kodak® EasyShare application.

  1. Reboot the computer with the camera turned on.
  2. Attempt to transfer the images to the computer.
  3. Ensure the USB cable is directly connected from the camera to the computer, bypassing any USB hubs or splitters.
  4. If the issue is not resolved, reinstall the USB driver for the Sony camera. Downloads are posted on your model support page.
  5. Attempt to transfer the images to the computer.
  6. If the issue is not resolved, uninstall the third-party software .
