Unable to playback a recorded DVD on a computer.

Follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue:

  1. Make sure the DVD has been finalized by the camcorder.

    IMPORTANT: For specific information about how to finalize the DVD, consult the instruction manual of the camcorder. Manuals are posted on your model support page.

  2. Ensure you are inserting the DVD into a built-in or external DVD-ROM drive on the computer.

    NOTE: The disc will only play back on a DVD-ROM drive. CD-ROM drives cannot playback the disc.

  3. Ensure the computer has DVD playback software installed.
