The title of a PDF file is missing or is not correct.
The Reader software titles PDF documents using the title entered in the description section of the document properties in the Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® software. This title is created when the PDF is created and may not match the name of the file. Follow these steps to check the assigned title.
NOTE: It is not possible to change the document title within the Reader™ for PC or Mac® software. For information regarding the title field, please refer to Document Properties command in the Adobe Reader Help files.
- Open the PDF using the Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® software.
- In the Adobe Reader window, on the menu bar, click File , then click Document Properties .
- In the Document Properties window, click the Description tab.
In this example, the file is named test2 and document is titled Document . In the Reader for PC or Mac software and in the Reader, Document will display in the Title field.
