The Reader software cannot be installed and it cannot be uninstalled.

  1. Click the Start button, then click My Computer.
  2. In the My Computer window, on the menu bar, click Tools, then click Folder Options.
  3. In the Folder Options windows, click the View tab.
  4. In the View tab, in the box under Advanced Settings, under Files and Folders, under Hidden files and folders, click to select the radio button next to Show hidden files and folders.
  5. Click the OK button.
  6. In the My Computer window, in the Address bar, type C:\documents and settings\all users\application data and press the Enter key.
  7. In the Application Data window, select the kinoma folder.
  8. On the menu bar, click File, then click Delete.
  9. In the Application Data window, select the Marlin folder.
  10. On the menu bar, click File, then click Delete.
  11. Click the Back button.
  12. In the Application Data window, in the Address bar, type C:\documents and settings\"your username"\local settings\application data and press the Enter key.
  13. In the user name window, select the kinoma folder.
  14. On the menu bar, click File, then click Delete.
  15. In the user name window, click to open the Sony Corporation folder.
  16. In the Sony Corporation folder, select the eBook Library folder.
  17. On the menu bar, click File, then click Delete.
  18. In the Sony Corporation window, in the address bar type C:\Program files\Sony and press the Enter button.

    NOTE: If the These files are hidden. screen is displayed, click Show the contents of this folder to display the files.

  19. In the Sony folder, select the Reader folder.
  20. On the menu bar, click File, then click Delete.
  21. Close the Sony window and install the Reader software.
