In the Cable Modem (Router Mode), the Wireless LAN Access Point acts as an NAT router between the Ethernet and wireless networks. Thus, no file sharing and file access are available between these two networks. To integrate the Wireless LAN Access Point with the wired LAN, such as a corporate network, the Wireless LAN Access Point should be in the LAN (Bridge Mode).
