Follow this procedure to troubleshoot this issue.
- Confirm the audio connections from the VCR to the television or receiver are properly connected.
- Clean the video heads using a dry video head cleaning cassette.
- If the VCR has APC or autotracking capabilities, turn on these features.
- If the VCR has Audio Monitor, press the AUDIO MONITOR button until STEREO displays on the LCD.
- Play a different tape.
NOTE: If the issue occurs when playing other tapes, service will be required .
