If you are using the DV IN or the VIDEO IN connection, the recordable time will be limited to 1 hour if the REC Quality setting in the recorder is set to HQ.

To change the recording quality, follow these steps:

  1. Turn on the recorder.
  2. On the recorder, press the RETURN button to display the menu.
  3. Press the up arrow or down arrow to select Setup.
  4. Press the ENTER button.
  5. Press the up arrow or down arrow to select Rec Quality.
  6. Press the ENTER button.
  7. Select the desired recording mode.
    • HQ (Highest image quality ) 1hr
    • HSP (High image quality ) 1hr30min
    • SP (Standard image quality ) 2hrs
    • LP (Lower image than standard image quality ) 3hrs
  8. Press the ENTER button.
