Unable to play the audio of a Sound Photo when using the DLNA feature on the TV.

Applicable Products and Categories of This Article

Some DLNA® servers will decode the photo first before it is sent to the TV. When this occurs using a Sound Photo file, the TV will not be able to play the sound and only show the photo.

If this occurs we recommend checking the following:

  • Make sure the DLNA server supports the Sound Photo format.
  • Try a different DLNA server.
  • Instead of playing the file using DLNA, use a USB memory device or if possible connect the camera that was used to create the Sound Photo to the TV.
NOTE: Refer to the manual supplied with the camera for model-specific information on how to connect it to a TV or contact the manufacturer. For Sony® cameras, manuals are available online. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
