When connecting the car stereo system to an amplifier using an optical cable, be sure to check the following:
- Make sure that the car stereo system and the amplifier have the latest software installed.

- After connecting the car stereo system to the amplifier, make sure that there is no loud sound or noise heard from the speakers connected to the amplifier. Also, check if there is a loud sound or noise heard when using the USB DAC for playback.
- When the car stereo system is connected to the amplifier using an optical cable, the Volume dial on the unit and the VOL button on the remote control cannot be used to adjust the volume. However, you can adjust the volume from the amplifier.
- Prior to using the car stereo system, set the amplifier to a low volume level, then adjust the volume when sound is heard from the speakers.
