Even if you are playing back an audio file capable of Dolby Digital® or DTS™ audio format, the DOLBY D indicator or the DTS indicator of the Bluetooth® speaker will not light up for various reasons. This may happen even if the connected device is hooked up using an HDMI® connection.
- The indicators will not light up if the connected device, such as a Blu-ray Disc® player or TV, is not compatible with Dolby Digital or DTS format.
- The indicators will not light up if the audio output setting of the connected device is not set to Pulse Code Modulation (PCM)
To resolve this, make sure that the connected device is capable of Dolby Digital or DTS format and its audio output setting is set to PCM.
NOTE: To know if the connected device is capable of Dolby Digital or DTS format and to know how to set the audio output setting to Dolby Digital or DTS, check the device's operating instructions or specifications. For Sony devices, this information can also be found in the operating instructions and specifications. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
