The phone call drops when a call waiting is accepted on the Neckband-style wearable device.

Issue:

The following issues listed below may occur when the call waiting or second call is received using the Neckband-style wearable device.

  • When the call waiting is received, the first call drops and call waiting immediately starts.
  • When the call waiting is received, both the first and call waiting or second call drop.

Symptom:

The call waiting may not work when using the Neckband-style wearable device. The phone calls are dropped when the second call is accepted on the Neckband-style wearable device.

Solution:

As a workaround, make sure to accept the call waiting on the mobile device, instead of using the Neckband-style wearable device.

A software update will be released as a fix for this issue. Once the update is available, make sure to update the software of the Neckband-style wearable device. Downloads are posted on your model support page.

IMPORTANT: When the Neckband-style wearable device update is released, a notification is sent to your mobile device. DO NOT download the update on your mobile device. Make sure the update is downloaded using a computer.

Steps to update the software of the Neckband-style wearable device.

  1. Using your computer, download the software update file from the Sony® eSupport site.

    NOTE: Do not unzip the updates.zip file.

  2. Power on the Neckband-style wearable device.
  3. Make sure the supplied micro-USB cable is connected to the Neckband-style wearable device and the USB port of the computer.

  4. Drag-and-drop the update file updates.zip to the root folder of Neckband-style wearable device.

    NOTE: It takes up to 1 minute to transfer.

  5. Disconnect the Neckband-style wearable device from the computer.
  6. Press and hold the Voice input button and Custom button simultaneously for 10 seconds until Neckband-style wearable device vibrates and the indicator light lights up white.

    NOTE: The indicator light blinks red, then will turn to blue and green. After 5 to 10 minutes, the Neckband-style wearable device will automatically restart and announce Update successful.
