Samba Services Manager has stopped Message Keeps Appearing on the Android TV Screen

    This error appears after updating your Android TV™ device to the following software version while Samba Interactive TV is disabled:

    • PKG6.2669 for 2017 and 2016 models
    • PKG3.915 for 2015 models



    We are aware of the issue and we apologize for any inconvenience. Follow either of the steps below in order to use your TV without the error appearing on the screen.

    Note: The error message may continue to pop up while you are walking through these steps.

    • Enable the Samba Services Manager.

    • Perform a factory data reset.

    If the error message continues to appear and interferes when performing the steps above, follow these steps.

    1. Press the HOME button.
    2. Scroll down and select Settings.
    3. Under TV category, select Apps.
    4. Under System apps, select Samba Services Manager.
    5. Select Force stop.

      Force stop

    6. Select OK.


    7. Perform a factory data reset.
