Clear data and cache on your Android TV or Google TV when apps aren't working properly

    If the apps on your Android TV™ or Google T™ don't work properly, clear cache and clear data to try to resolve the issue.

    Google TV

    1. On the Home screen, navigate to the Gmail icon logo and select it.
    2. On the Google TV screen, go to Screen.
    3. Select Settings.
    4. Select Apps.
    5. Select See all apps.
    6. Scroll down to the app you want to clear data / clear cache.
    7. Select Clear Data or Clear Cache.

    Android TV

    1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. The next steps depend on your TV menu options:
      • Select AppsSee all appsShow system apps.
      • Select Apps.
    4. Under System apps, select your preferred app.
    5. Select Clear cache, and then select OK.
      • If the issue still occurs, move on to the next step.
    6. Select Clear data, and then select OK.
      • if displayed, select CLEAR ALL DATA, and then OK.

    Note: For H models televisions

    • On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
    • Select Settings.
    • Select See all apps
    • Under See all apps, select an app you would like to clear data and cache.
    • On the selected app, pull down the menu, and select Clear data or Clear cache.
      Clear data and Clear cache require are performed on an app.
    • Press the Enter button.
