Can't import images from the camera with a USB connection using the PlayMemories Home software

    Follow these steps if the PlayMemories Home™ software doesn't import images from the camera using a USB connection.

    Note: If you can't import images from the camera by wirelessly connecting, refer to the article Can't wirelessly save files on my computer using PlayMemories Home.

    1. Check if the computer recognizes the camera:
    2. Install the latest version of the PlayMemories Home software.

    3. Perform device authentication to add the camera's functions to PlayMemories Home

    4. Check the content stored in the camera's memory or the inserted memory card. The camera may not recognize content recorded or saved by a different device.
    5. Check the USB connection mode on the camera display when PlayMemories Home is launched.
    6. Change the USB Connection Setting and USB LUN Setting.

    7. Reconnect the camera to the computer with the USB cable

    8. Restart the computer

    9. Run the PlayMemories Home Setting Initialization Tool

    10. If it is still not operating correctly, uninstall and then reinstall the PlayMemories Home software.
