How to unfinalize a DVD-RW disc after it has been finalized.

NOTE: A DVD-RW disc cannot be unfinalized if the recording was made in the DVD-VR format. However, additional recordings can be made and the disc can be formatted with the Handycam® DVD camera without unfinalizing.

Follow the steps below to unfinalize a DVD that was created using the DVD-VIDEO format:

1. Press SETUP.
2. Use the up arrow or down arrow to select DISC SET.
3. Press ENTER.
4. Use the up arrow or down arrow to select UNFINALIZE.
5. Press ENTER.
6. Use the up arrow or down arrow to select EXECUTE.
7. Press ENTER.
8. Use the up arrow or down arrow to select YES.
9. Press ENTER.
10. Once the unfinalization process is complete, press SETUP to exit the menu and continue recording.
