How to setup and use the Sports application.

The Sports application is a Microsoft® application that allows you to obtain the most up to date information on your favorite sports team and players, sport headlines, live scores, schedules, standings, and statistics. Follow these steps to use the Sports application.

IMPORTANT: The Sports application is unique to the new Windows User Interface (UI) in the Windows® 8 and 8.1 operating systems, and cannot be found on and will not work with any of the previous Windows operating systems (Windows 7, Vista, XP etc.).

1. Point to (but do not click) the lower-right or top-right corner of the screen, and then click to select the Search charm.

   NOTE: The Windows Logo + Q key combination will also take you to the Search screen.

2. In the Search screen, in the Search field type Sports, and then click the Sports icon.
3. The Sports application will open.

   NOTE: Scrolling to the right provides categories to view, such as TOP STORIES and FAVORITE TEAMS.

4. Scroll to the right and at the FAVORITE TEAMS category, click the + (Plus) button, enter your favorite team name, and then click the Add button.

   NOTE: Clicking your favorite team tile will display detailed information and news stories.
