Follow the steps below to share media from your iPhone® or iPad® device to your TV using the Wi-Fi Direct® feature.
Before You Start
- It's recommended to update your TV to the latest software version.
- Wi-Fi® ready TVs (without built-in wireless) require the UWABR100 USB wireless LAN adapter (not supplied) to enable this feature. This adapter has been discontinued and is no longer available. If you already have this adapter for your Wi-Fi ready TV, proceed with the setup procedure.
Set up the Wi-Fi Direct feature
-
Turn on the Wi-Fi Direct feature of your TV
There are several ways to turn the Wi-Fi Direct on depending on your TV model:
-
Establish connection between the mobile device and your TV.
- Make note of the SSID and WPA Key information that appeared on your TV screen from the previous step.

- On your mobile device, tap Settings.

- Under Settings, tap Wi-Fi.

-
Tap the switch to turn the Wi-Fi on.

-
Select the SSID of the TV (refer to step 1).

-
Enter the password (WPA key from step 1), then tap Join.

- Wait for the connection to establish.
- The connection is successful if a check mark appears beside the SSID on the mobile device and a dashed line displays on your TV.

- If the connection fails, retry the steps above and make sure to enter the password (WPA key) correctly.
-
Share media between the mobile device and your TV
After the setup is complete, you can now share media from your mobile device to your TV through iMediaShare software, or visit the App Store® to check for other similar applications.
Note: Steps for your iPhone or iPad may vary depending on model, refer to your product documentation for model-specific information.
