How to install additional language packs.

    Follow this procedure to add additional language support.

    IMPORTANT:
    • To use Multilanguage User Interface (MUI) functionality in Microsoft® Internet Explorer, Address Book, and Outlook® Express software, upgrade to Windows® XP Professional operating system.
    • MUI is supported in Microsoft® Office 2000 and Office XP for both Windows® XP Home and Professional operating system.
    1. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel .
    2. In the Control Panel window, under Pick a category , double-click the Date, Time, Language and Regional Properties icon.
    3. In the Date, Time, Language and Regional Properties window, under Pick a task , click Add other languages .
    4. In the Regional and Language Options window, click the Language tab.
    5. On the Languages tab, click the Details button.

      NOTE: To install additional language packs, on the Languages tab, in the Supplemental language support box, click to select the desired support option.

    6. In the Text Services and Input Languages window, in the Installed services box, click the Add button.
    7. In the Add input language window, under Input language: , click the down arrow , then click to select the desired language.
    8. Under Keyboard layout/IME: , click the down arrow , then click to select the desired language.
    9. Click the OK button.
    10. In the Text Services and Input Languages window, click the Apply button.
    11. Restart the computer.
