The battery is not detected after upgrading the operating system.
Follow these steps to troubleshoot why the battery is not being detected.
NOTE: Because each of these steps represents a possible solution to this problem, check the battery status after finishing each step.
- Turn off the notebook.
- Remove the AC adapter and battery.
- Connect the AC adapter and power on the notebook.
- Download and install all available updates for the computer. Downloads are posted on your model support page.
- Shut down the notebook and connect the battery pack.
- Power on the notebook.
- Disable the ISB utility.
The troubleshooting steps listed above should resolve your issue. If you have completed all of the steps and the issue is not resolved, service may be required.  Go to Product Repair.
