How to turn the Live Tile feature off or on.
The tiles of some apps have the ability to display live, dynamic content. This helps make both the app and the Start Menu more interactive. These apps include, but are not limited to, Money, News, Weather or Microsoft® Xbox® app. Follow these steps to turn on the Live Tile feature for an app tile that has the ability to display dynamic content.
- Click on the Start icon.
- On the Start Menu, right-click the tile for the Money, News, Weather or Microsoft Xbox app, and then click to select Turn live tile on.
NOTES:
- If you right-click the tile for an app and the Turn live tile on option is not present, the tile for that app does not have the ability to display dynamic content.
- To turn off the Live Tile feature for a particular app, repeat the procedure above but in step 2, click to select Turn live tile off.
