How to use the Wireless Network Setup Wizard and a USB flash drive to transfer wireless settings on your network.

    1. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
    2. In the Control Panel window, under Pick a category, double-click the Network and Internet Connections icon.
    3. In the Network and Internet Connections window, under or pick a Control Panel icon, double-click the Wireless Network Setup Wizard icon.
    4. In the Wireless Network Setup Wizard window, under Welcome to the Wireless Network Setup Wizard, click the Next button.
    5. Under Select a task:, click to select Set up a new wireless network.
    6. Click the Next button.
    7. Under Create a name for your wireless network., next to Network name (SSID):, type the (SSID) of the access point.
    8. Click to select Manually assign a network key.
    9. Ensure the Use WPA encryption instead of WEP... box is not selected.
    10. Click the Next button.
    11. Under Enter a WEP key for your wireless network. click to clear the Hide characters as I type box.
    12. In the Network key box, type the appropriate WEP key for your access point.
    13. In the Confirm network key box, re-type the same WEP key for your access point.
    14. Click the Next button.
    15. Under How do you want to set up your network? click to select Use a USB flash drive (recommended).
    16. Click the Next button.
    17. Connect the USB flash drive to the computer using an available USB port.
    18. Under Save settings to your flash drive., next to Flash drive:, click the down arrow, then click to select the USB flash drive letter.
    19. Click the Next button.
    20. Insert the USB flash drive into the next computer that will connect to this wireless LAN.
    21. In the USB flash drive window, under This disk or device contains more than one type of content., click to select Open folder to view files.
    22. Click the OK button.
    23. In the USB flash drive window, double-click the setupSNK icon.
    24. In the Wireless Network Setup Wizard window, click the OK button.
    25. Under You have successfully added this computer to the wireless network..., click the OK button.
    26. Remove the USB flash drive from the computer and repeat the last 6 steps for each additional computer to connect to this wireless LAN.
    27. Insert the USB flash drive into the first computer.
    28. On the first computer, in the Wireless Network Setup Wizard window, under Transfer your network settings to your other computers or devices., click the Next button.

      IMPORTANT: If the error: Windows cannot always detect when you remove the flash drive or media. If you already removed and reinserted the drive or media, click Cancel is displayed, click the Cancel button.

    29. Under The wizard completed successfully, ensure the For security reasons, remove network settings from my flash drive box is selected.
    30. Click the Finish button.
