When an ethernet cable is plugged in, the docking station ethernet port is not recognized.

If you are able to connect to the Internet when an ethernet cable is connected directly to the computer, but not when an ethernet cable is connected to the docking station, there may be a conflict with the docking station ethernet port driver, or the driver has become corrupted. To resove this issue, connect the computer to the docking station, remove all of the ethernet ports listed in the Device Manager , and then restart the computer .
