What is the Audio Description and how to enable it?

IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.

The Audio Description feature is one of the Accessibility features of Android™ 13. It is designed to turn on Audio Description across every app that supports it, and you can hear a description of what's happening on-screen in supported movies and shows.

    To enable Audio Description.

    1. Find and tap Settings and tap Accessibility.
    2. Scroll down to the Audio section and tap the toggle switch for Audio Description.

Note: Not every app supports Audio Description (AD), and it will only become active where the TV program, movie, or video includes an AD track. Unlike Android's Close Caption features, it can't generate the AD track automatically.
