    Unless stated otherwise, the file listed below must be installed BEFORE the DP Display Output Software in order for it to work properly. If more than one Required file is listed, install them in the order presented on this page.

    This update is required if your DPT-S1 does not have firmware version 1.5.50 or higher.

    IMPORTANT: This file is only for use with the models identified. Not all models are sold in all countries.

    Benefits and improvements

    This utility provides the DP Display Output software.

    Using the DP Display Output function enables you to display the screen of your Digital Paper device on your computer display.

    • By displaying the screen using computer with a projector, more than one person can view it at the same time
    • You can display PDF files from your Digital Paper device on a computer display in color
    • Handwritten notes from a Digital Paper device are displayed in blue and red on a computer display
    • You can operate a Digital Paper device while charging it from a computer

    Before You Start

    Important Notes

    • This utility is only for use with the Sony® DPT-S1 digital paper system. Do not install this utility with any other models.
    • IMPORTANT: Using this software with the DPT-S1 requires firmware version 1.5.50 or later. A link to this firmware update is listed in the Required Files section of this page.
    • This update requires a computer with one of the following operating systems installed:
      • Microsoft® Windows® 10 (32/64 bit)
      • Windows 8.1 (32/64 bit)
      • Windows 8 (32/64 bit)
      • Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (32/64 bit)
      • Mac OS® X 10.9.5 (64 bit only)
      Note: Operation is not guaranteed in all environments. Depending on the version of software and operating system installed, it may not work properly.
    • IMPORTANT: To operate the DP Display Output function, Java Runtime Environment version 8 Update 25 or later is required (additional information is provided in the DP Display Output Setup Procedure document).
    • It is highly recommended that you print out these instructions for use as a reference during the installation process.
