My aibo can't connect to a Wi-Fi network using "Easy Set-Up" (WPS) button

Check the status of your Wi-Fi® network connection using Easy set-up after completing each step. If specific information is required to complete each step, check your router manual or contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for more information, or check aibo's manual.

    Solution

    1. Update the firmware for your Wi-Fi router or access point to its latest version.
    2. Check if your Wi-Fi router or access point is set to stealth mode. Deactivate stealth mode for your Wi-Fi router or access point, and then do the settings.
      1. Select Easy set-up from My aibo app.
        • Steps vary depending on the device used.
          • For Smartphones

          • For Computers

      2. Press Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button on your router. Refer to your Wi-Fi router's manual to see if the way to operate the WPS button for your Wi-Fi router or access point is different.
        • Depending on your Wi-Fi router or access point, you may have to press its WPS button for a few seconds to set it up.
    3. Bring aibo™ closer to your Wi-Fi router or access point.
    4. Set the security settings for your Wi-Fi router or access point to WPA2-PSK.
    5. If aibo cannot connect even though you did the settings correctly, try the following:
      • Turn off your Wi-Fi router or access point. After one minute, turn it on again.
      • Temporarily turn off aibo.
        1. Press and hold the power button for at least two seconds.
        2. Make sure the status LED is off.
        3. Wait around a minute.
        4. Press and hold the power button to turn on aibo.
