    • IMPORTANT: In order for this update to install and work properly, the Intel Graphics Preparation Tool (EP0000601174.exe) must be installed BEFORE installing this update. A link to the required file is available in the "Required Files" section. If the Intel Graphics Preparation Tool is not installed first, the message "Error: Unable to conform the current system environment." will appear.
    • During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
    • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    • It is highly recommended that you print out these instructions for use as a reference during the installation process.

    1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    2. Download the EP0000601175.exe file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the EP0000601175.exe file to begin the installation.
    4. At the "User Account Control" screen, click "Yes".
    5. At the "Uninstalled successfully. The system will restart automatically" screen, click "OK".
    6. After the computer restarts, double-click the EP0000601175.exe file again to continue the installation.
    7. At the "User Account Control" screen, click "Yes".
    8. At the "Installed successfully. The system will restart automatically" screen, click "OK" to restart the computer.
      Note: If the message "Update failed. Please try again" appears, please begin the installation again.

    After the computer restarts, the installation of the Intel HD Graphics Family Update is complete.

    Please follow the steps below to verify that the installation was successful

    1. Browse to C:\\Windows\System32\drivers\igdkmd64.sys.
    2. Position the mouse pointer over the file igdkmd64.sys.
    3. Verify that the file version is 10.18.10.3355.
    4. Browse to C:\\Windows\System32\drivers\IntcDAud.sys.
    5. Position the mouse pointer over the file IntcDAud.sys.
    6. Verify that the file version is 6.16.0.3129.
