Receiving 5.1 channel audio when the Netflix program you're watching has 2 channel audio.

If the Digital audio out setting in the Sound menu of your TV is set to Auto1 or Auto, the digital out (optical) and HDMI® ARC ports output as 5.1 channel audio regardless of whether the audio of the Netflix® video is 2 channel or 5.1 channel. This is a specification and normal operation for these TV models.

• For 2021 models (except W8 and X7 series)
  Depending on the Digital audio out settings, audio from digital out (optical) and HDMI ARC is output as follows:
  • Auto1: Dolby Digital®/Dolby Digital Plus™ 5.1 or Dolby Atmos®
  • Auto2: Dolby Atmos
• For other models:
  When the Digital audio out is set to Auto or Auto1, audio from digital out (optical) and HDMI ARC is output as Dolby Digital/Dolby Digital Plus 5.1.
