Play Content from A Mobile Device on the TV

You can connect a mobile device to a TV with a wireless or a wired connection to play back content from the mobile device:

• Connect the mobile device to the TV with a wireless connection

  • Use Miracast™ technology

    The TV can connect to a Screen Mirroring and Miracast compatible device without the use of a cable or wireless router (or access point). Select Mirroring on the TV and on the source device to make a connection. Check the list of Wi-Fi® Certified Miracast devices found on the Wi-Fi Alliance website for more details.

    

    Note:

    • Connectivity with all Miracast compatible devices isn't guaranteed.
    • iOS® devices don't support Screen Mirroring  (as of November 2014).
    • We can't guarantee the connection compatibility of mobile devices other than select Xperia® devices.
    • Check if your Xperia device is included in the list of Xperia devices with the Screen Mirroring feature .

  • Use One Touch Mirroring

    To use One-Touch Mirroring with Near Field Connection (NFC™) technology , place your compatible smartphone to the NFC logo of the One-Touch remote control.

  • Use Wi-Fi Direct™ feature or a Wi-Fi Access Point

    You can use the Wi-Fi Direct function or an access point connection to display photos or play videos/music stored in the device on the TV.

  • Use Google Cast

    For Android™ TV models, you can use Google Cast to display photos or play videos or music stored in the mobile device.

• Connect the mobile device to the TV with a wired connection

  • Use an MHL™ cable

    With a  Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) cable , you can connect your smart phone to the TV to mirror what is seen on the smartphone screen. For an up-to-date list of compatible devices, visit the MHL Consortium website.

    

    Be sure to use an authorized MHL 2 cable bearing the MHL logo.

  • Use a Micro HDMI® Cable

    You can connect your mobile device with a Micro HDMI cable to play back on the TV what is shown on the screen of the device.

    Not all smartphones have a Micro HDMI port. Check your manual for model-specific information.

    

    Use an authorized High Speed HDMI cable bearing the HDMI logo.
