Dolby Digital Plus sound doesn't ouput from the device connected with the optical digital cable

    This is a specification of the product. The TV is designed to mute audio from the Digital Audio Out (Optical) port when receiving Dolby Digital Plus™ audio. To enable Dolby Digital Plus on a Home Theater System, soundbar, or A/V Receiver, connect an HDMI® cable to the HDMI ARC or HDMI eARC port on your TV.

    If you want to use the Digital Audio Out (Optical) port on your TV, you can listen to Dolby Digital® sound with the steps below. If model-specific information is required to complete each step, check your manual.

    1. Set your TV speakers to Audio system.
      1. On your TV remote control, press the HOME button.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. Select Audio system depending on your TV menu options:
        • Select Display & SoundAudio outputSpeakersAudio system.
        • Select SoundSpeakersAudio system.
    2. Set the Dolby Digital Plus output setting to Dolby Digital.
      1. On the remote, press the HOME button.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. Select Dolby Digital depending on your TV menu options:
